Almost anyone age 18 and older may benefit from BOTOX and Dysport treatments. These injectables are intended for individuals with moderate to severe frown lines and forehead creases but who are otherwise in good health.

Your Treatment Appointment

Prior to your BOTOX or Dysport treatment, you will have a brief consultation during which you can discuss your appearance goals and we can assess your individual needs. Our flexible appointment times allow you to schedule this quick, in-office procedure during a time and day that fits best within your existing schedule.

At your consultation, you can also talk about any additional cosmetic concerns you may have. While BOTOX and Dysport can be excellent options for treating dynamic wrinkles, other types of wrinkles may be created by a loss of facial volume. These wrinkles can’t be improved by muscle relaxants, but may benefit from the use of dermal fillers to restore youthful fullness in the facial contours. Combining treatments is a common way to help men and women look their best without surgery.

What to Expect

BOTOX and Dysport are administered in-office by one of our nurse injectors and can be completed in about an hour. The majority of that time is used for preparation to ensure your safety and treatment efficacy. Before treatment, your nurse injector will clean the targeted area. If needed, they will also apply a topical numbing cream, though most people report minimal discomfort.

From there, your nurse injector will strategically inject BOTOX or Dysport into specific areas of the forehead and between the eyebrows. Precisely where will be determined after discussing your areas of concern.

The treatment itself takes only a few minutes and many people see improvement in as little as 2 to 3 days after their first treatment.

After treatment, your nurse injector will provide after-care instructions and you’ll be able to resume your regular activities. While there may be some mild restrictions, there is no real need for downtime.

Is this treatment painful?

Most people find that injections are fairly comfortable, typically producing only mild swelling, redness or bruising. Because such a small needle is used, you may feel a small prick that some people equate to the feeling of a mosquito bite.
You may experience some tenderness in the treated area, but this is usually very short-lived and should resolve on its own over the next few hours.
What’s the difference between Dysport and BOTOX?

Comparing Dysport and BOTOX is like comparing Coke and Pepsi. Both are neuromodulators that work by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that cause dynamic lines and wrinkles to form on your face. How long until I see results?
