- Step 3: A nurse will contact you to share an overview of the program and request you complete basic labs.
- Step 4: With labs approved, a nurse will call you to order your weight loss medication.
- Step 5: Your medication arrives within a week to our office where you will have a personal consultation with Dr. Davis and a nurse will administer your first dose.

Weight Loss Shot Overview
Semaglutide has been branded under the names Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus. We are prescribing the compounded form of Semaglutide that belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists. Among other things, it slows gastric emptying, which leads to a feeling of fullness for a longer time and helps to control appetite and slows the absorption of sugars, which aids in blood sugar control and weight loss. Depending on your dose, this medication can range from $300-$450 per month.
Tirzepatide is branded under the names Mounjaro and Zepbound. It works by targeting two hormone receptors in the body, GLP-1 and GIP, both of which are involved in controlling blood sugar and appetite. This medication works similar to Semaglutides, but because it targets two hormone receptors, it may offer additional benefits in controlling blood sugar and reducing weight loss. Depending on your dose, this medication ranges from $400-$750 per month.
We want you to lose weight slowly and stay healthy. While taking Semaglutide or Tirzepatide, it is especially important to eat healthy foods, plenty of protein, and to continue to exercise to sustain and build muscle. We will help you through the entire process and want to get you on the right dose for you to maximize results and minimize side effects. While on the medication, eat foods high in fiber. Focus on eating smaller meals that are high in protein. Avoid high fat foods because they can take longer to digest. Drink at least 32oz of water daily.
Common side effects can be nausea, constipation, acid reflux and/or abdominal pain. It is important to keep us informed so we can help you minimize these side effects. Uncommon, but serious, side effects can include gall bladder disease and/or pancreatitis.
